Thank You from St. Ambrose Applefest

Applefest is in the books, and what a weekend it was! Our parish family came together once again to put on a festival we can all be proud of, and we couldn't have done it without each of you. To every volunteer who pitched in, from Thursday evening setup through Sunday's final cleanup, every sponsor who invested in our mission, and every family who joined us to celebrate, thank you.

This year brought a challenge none of us expected: temperatures over 100 degrees in the middle of September. Despite the heat, you still showed up. Volunteers worked their shifts, sponsors stood behind us, and families came out to enjoy the event. Your commitment in those conditions says everything about the heart of this parish, and we are truly thankful.

We are especially grateful to Father Steve, whose leadership and encouragement set the tone for everything we do. Our committee members carried an enormous load this year, and we want to recognize each of them by name: Michelle Pulaski, Mel Bechtold, Evan and Ellen Everitt, Monica Ellebracht, Peggy Kory, Sarah Braundmeier, Alison Richars, Mandy and Josh Lewis, and Alison Kane. And a special shout-out to Godfrey Knights of Columbus, The Bahlmann Family, and Kim Wackerly, who all went above and beyond this year.

Watching this parish rally together, sweating side by side, reminded us what community really looks like.

Thank you all, and God bless!
