FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO YOU OFFER BEFORE OR AFTER SCHOOL CARE?

Yes, both are offered at St. Ambrose.  Before Care starts at 6:30 a.m., and After Care is available until 6:00 p.m.  Both are held on school grounds, and are available only to St. Ambrose students.

DO PRESCHOOLERS WEAR UNIFORMS?

No, uniforms are not required until children enter Kindergarten.

WILL YOU HAVE TO WEAR A UNIFORM EVERY DAY?

Yes, but there are certain days that students can wear dress down clothes.   Specific dress down rules may apply.  For example;

Spirit Wear Day - Wear Spirit Wear shirts or sweatshirts, with uniform pants or skirts. Visit our Spiritwear Store website.

Spirit Day - These are themed days that are hosted by Student Council once a month. For example: 80’s day

Dress Down Days - First Friday of the month. The $1.50 cost to support a charity may be sent into the office in an envelope with your child's name/dress down for charity or the $1.50 may be withdrawn from your FACTS SIS lunch account.  The funds raised support a different charity each month.  These days are optional. 

DO YOU OFFER ANY SPECIALTY CLASSES?

Yes, all classes participate weekly in Music & Art, Fitness/P.E. and Character Counts.

DO YOU OFFER EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES? 

Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Drama Club, Student Council, Young Author, Science Fair, Outdoor Club, Chess Club

DO YOU OFFER OR REQUIRE ANY VOLUNTEER HOURS?

All families with children enrolled in PreK-8th grade, regardless of time or parishioner status, need to fulfill a yearly 16 service hour requirement.  

Extended family and friends are able to complete service hours on behalf of the family.

Even if you’re not a parish member or parent of a full time student, we welcome help from all volunteers.
