Baptism
Parents are expected and godparents are encouraged to participate in a one-evening session of preparation prior to the celebration of the sacrament. Sessions are usually once every three months, but please call the parish office (466-2921) to sign up.

Adults and older teens seeking baptism should contact the RCIA Director about preparation for the Sacraments.

Confirmation
Confirmation is ordinarily celebrated every two years. The preparation usually culminates with the Rite of Confirmation being celebrated in seventh and eighth grade. Students in both St. Ambrose Catholic School and the Parish School of Religion Program participate in this preparation.  Sessions for parents and sponsors are part of the preparation.

Unconfirmed adults and older teens should contact the RCIA Director about preparation for confirmation.

Eucharist
First Eucharist is celebrated each year in the springtime. Children of second grade in both the Parish School and the PSR Program are invited to celebrate the Eucharist, providing they have had two years of catechetical preparation. Older children, likewise, are required to have two years of catechesis prior to their first reception of the Eucharist. Children of First Communion age are expected to participate regularly in the celebration of the Sunday Eucharist.

Adults and older teens should contact the RCIA Director about preparation for First Eucharist.
